It was on top of a record store that Transmitter Records first bubbled up in 2004 when Nicky Bomba and Joe Camilleri thought an old school Jamaican style label might be just the ticket for the music they were making. They soon realised that 2 prolific Maltese musicians might be able to tear it up on stage but running a record business was a whole new bag!

Constant touring and the downturn of the industry put the idea on the backburner for many ideas until Nicky teamed up with his daughter Sera in 2023 and re-ignited the concept in a digital world.
Transmitter Records V2 is re-releasing some classic albums from their catalogue while still actively tapping into new songs and concepts. The basic philosophy is to celebrate the power and love that a cool song can bring.
